Central to Oman Botanic Garden is the promotion and practice of environmentally sustainable work practices and ethics. These practices are at the core of our construction and landscape principles. Detailed attention is given to the protection of the landscape and its geological, geomorphological, cultural and archaeological characteristics as well as rock rescue and protection. Soil erosion measures and existing tree protection has been implemented through the garden site and will be maintained during and after the construction phase.

We are recycling different materials; plastic, paper, green waste and aluminium cans. We are working with different partners in Oman to collect and utilise these materials. Electrical power for the nursery and offices is provided by solar energy through on-site photovoltaic farm.
