Oman Botanic Garden Celebrated “ tree day “which occurs on October 31 of each year. The Department of Education and Communication organized events in Rowad International School, attended by 50 students from the third grade. The program of the celebration included a presentation about trees followed by an open discussion about the importance of the trees in our lives. This was followed by program of competitions including tree sculptor, paper marking, drawing and coloring. Students displayed their art work on the Panel Memories “Tree.. My imprint”, and “How do I plant”. It was the last event in the Celebration program where the propagation department taught students how to grow Aloe plant , transferred to the Pot of and take care of it. Then, all students made a practical application about how to cultivate this plant. The Garden gave seedlings to all the students who participated. Also,it gave baobab tree to the school in recognition of their participation in the celebration. In conclusion, Garden team took a photo with students and school administration staff. It was a great day.
