Low perennial to almost prostrate sub-shrub; stems and branches arising from a basal woody stock, up to 20cm; older stems brownish white, younger grey-green to white, densely appressed white-hairy. Leaves: Imparipinnate with 3-5 leaflets. Flowers: Reddish purple, in axillary racemes, shortly pedicellate, deflexed after maturation. Fruit: Pods not flattened, reflexing downwards, very narrow, baked, brown. Flowering period: August to October. Habitat: Central and southern Oman. On the escarpment mountains, on the slopes and summit plateau with Euphorbia balsamifera and Commiphoraspp. Altitude: 50-1500m.
