Cushion-forming woody perennial, stems grey, up to 40cm in height. Leaves: Opposite, linear with entire margins. Flowers: Clusters of pink flower heads cover the shrub. Tiny white flowers with five petals rise above the broad pink calyx. Fruit: A capsule with tiny seeds. Flowering period: February to April. Habitat: This plant grows on rock crevices and mountain slopes of the Al Hajar Mountain Range including Musandam. Altitude: up to 2000m. Uses: Grazed by goats.
